The goal of ITS is to honor student excellence in theatre arts. Upon completing and recording 100 hours of theatre-related activities, a student can opt to be inducted into the ITS, thereby becoming an official, card-carrying Thespian. Students can gain points from cast, crew, committee participation.

The Cappies, "Critics and Awards Program," is a national program through which high school theater and journalism students are trained as critics, attend shows at other schools, write reviews, and publish those reviews.At the end of the year, student critics vote for awards, participate in the Cappies Gala with performances and awards.

CALIFORNIA EDUCATIONAL THEATRE ASSOCIATION FESTIVAL
Our fall play is submitted for the Southern California theatre competition, and we attend the festival with many other California high school Drama students every January. At the festival, we attend workshops and four award-winning high school plays. There are also scholarship competition for aspiring actors/actresses or those who want to go into educational theatre

comedy sportz
The Comedy Sportz High School League is the largest, most successful improv training program for high school students in the country. Players train with a professional coach to perform improvisational comedy in the Comedy Sportz format and compete in matches against other schools several times in the year.
Macy awards
Our spring musical is submitted for adjudication by the MACY panel of judges. The MACY Awards is dedicated to encouraging, recognizing and rewarding achievement and excellence in high school musical theatre.At the end of the year, students participate in the Macy’s with performances and awards.
